Your Role

At Saab Dynamics, we are now looking for a component engineer in electronics and a component engineer in chemistry. As a component engineer with us, you will play a central role in selecting, qualifying, and documenting components for our groundbreaking products. You will conduct technical analyses and assessments of components in close collaboration with both our suppliers and projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple parallel projects and contribute to our expansive work, where the flow of components is significant. You will have the chance to support both new development and existing products. The work includes managing new components, handling components that are about to be phased out (obsolescence), and keeping our component libraries and databases updated. Part of the work, depending on the area, also involves conducting substance and material declarations, which will give you a varied and educational workday. Since a lot of documentation and searching for it is a central part of the job, you must enjoy this. Once you reach a sufficient level of competence, you will also be able to serve as an expert in projects within different product groups.

You will initially focus on one of the areas of expertise but will also learn at least one more in the future to create redundancy in the group and be able to assist your colleagues in other areas when needed.

You will become part of our wonderful team at Saab Dynamics, where we work together in our offices in Karlskoga, Linköping, Gothenburg, and India. This position is open for our teams in Linköping or Karlskoga. Your Profile

As a component engineer with us, you will have an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technology in electronics, mechanics, electromechanics, and chemistry. We are looking for someone with an engineering degree (Master's or Bachelor's) or relevant work experience in these areas, and we welcome both recent graduates and those with a few years of industry experience.

With us, you will be part of an engaged and experienced team where we value knowledge sharing and joint development. You will work with both electronic and mechanical components and have great freedom to shape and develop your own role. We hope you have a passion for technology even outside of work, as your curiosity and drive will be an important asset in your work.

To thrive in this role, you are a natural problem solver with the ability to think analytically and come up with creative solutions. You are structured, meticulous, and ensure high-quality results. Since we work in a dynamic and international environment, it is important that you have good communication skills and can collaborate effectively - both with colleagues at Saab and external partners. You are proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Your willingness to continuously develop and learn new things will be a great advantage for us. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong commitment, and a desire to contribute to our shared team.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in IFS and with CAD programs, but it is not a requirement.
